Renovation of a mixed-use development in Charter Oak, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,823-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility.
The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and generally consists of the following: 1. HVAC system replacement on three (3) floors of the original school building. a. Associated MEP site work. b. Fire alarm upgrades under Alternate E1. 2. Restroom renovations on three (3) floors of the original school building. a. Restroom renovations on main floor under Base Bid. b. Restroom renovations on second floor under Alternate A1. c. Restroom renovations on third floor under Alternate A2. 3. Site work a. New transformer and fenced enclosure. b. New fenced trash enclosure. c. New fencing around entrance inside existing mechanical enclosure. d. Site removals, utility work and repairs The work under the Contract shall be commenced on or before a date to be specified in the Contract or written Notice to Proceed of the Owner, and shall achieve Substantial Completion by October 31, 2024. Sales Tax: This project is tax exempt. Do Not include State Sales Tax inany calculation of Bid totals. Contractor will be provided with Iowa sales tax exemption number for this project The Charter Oak-Ute Community School District, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-advertise for new bids, and to waive informalities that may be in the best interest of the Charter Oak-Ute Community School District.
