Renovation of a fire / police facility in West Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Bids shall include the furnishing and installation of all labor, materials, permits, equipment, tools, supplies, etc., for the Fire House Improvements Project. \ Approximate quantities of work to be expected are as follows: BASE BID \ 1 LS Plumbing Improvements: - Kitchen Sink & Faucet \ - PVC Piping \ - Grease Interceptor \ Together with appurtenant construction in all contracts. A Certified check or bid bond payable without condition to the Village of West Milwaukee in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a proper contract and bond will be executed and filed within ten (10) days after the acceptance of the bid. Each successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond in the sum of the full amount of the contract. If such bidder fails to execute and file such contract and bond, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. \ No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Village of West Milwaukee for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of opening bids. Contractors and Subcontractors are required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates on public work as established by Federal Department of Labor wage scale rates for various job classifications. A copy of these Federal required wage rates is contained in the Contract Document. \ Contractors will be required to obtain minority-owned businesses to perform work totaling 20 percent, and women-owned businesses 5 percent, of the construction contract amount. The Milwaukee County Community Business Development Partners (414-278-4747) will assist contractors in soliciting minority and women-owned subcontractors and suppliers if requested. \ The Village of West Milwaukee reserves the right to reject any or all bids received or to accept any bid which may be to the best interest of the Village of West Milwaukee.
