Continue the environmental assessment work and demolition of buildings this fiscal year, ending March 31, 2024. BC Parks owns a property at Mile 463 on the Alaska Highway, within Muncho Lake Park. The property has formerly been operated as the Muncho Lake RV Park and historically as a gas station and maintenance shop. BC Parks has recently completed the following assessments and on the ground work: Stage 1 PSI Follow-up, including removal/disposal of underground fuel tanks and confirmatory soil sampling, 2023. Hazardous Building Materials Assessment, 2023. TIMELINE Request for proposal for professional with expertise in contaminated sites legislation to continue the environmental assessment work and demolition of buildings this fiscal year is closed; preferred proponent is selected. There is a possibility of contract renewal into fiscal 2024/2025 depending on budget availability and project needs, at the sole discretion of the Ministry. Further update spring 2024, upon approvals.
