Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Victoria, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 356,400-square-foot, three-story above grade, 306-bed elderly care / assisted living facility.

Currently one of the three potential LTC projects is approved, which is the Western Communities LTC (WCLTC). The scope of this approved project includes the construction of a three storey, 306-bed LTC home of approximately 33,000 gross square meters in Colwood, BC. Two additional LTC projects have been proposed by Island Health but are not yet approved; these would also be situated on Vancouver Island. One of the additional projects is anticipated to be comparable in size and complexity to the Colwood LTC home. The second additional project is anticipated to be to be of similar complexity of the Colwood LTC home, but approximately half the building area. TIMELINE: Notice of proposed procurement for design consultants Notice of Intended Procurement and NDA, is close; Preferred proponent is unreleased. All interested potential proponents are required to sign and return a pre-bid Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Only those potential proponents who have signed and returned a pre-bid NDA will receive any subsequent invitational RFx documents issued in relation to this project. Further update fall 2024, upon approval.
