The project consists of removing and disconnecting the existing 46 out of 50 total, dual fixture streetlights. New 14" galvanized steel base plates will be anchored into place so that the replacement concrete poles can be fastened directly to base plates and be serviced on an as needed basis. The 50 new, 15' concrete poles will all be single fixture-75W LED, with 30" aluminum arms extruding over the sidewalk. A lighting analysis was conducted by Mountain States Lighting on August 2, 2022, to determine proper pole placement and to achieve a minimum standard of 1-foot candle average output along the highway. Bidders will be placed on the plan holders list. Acknowledgment on the plan holders list is mandatory for all bidders. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following location: Town of West Yellowstone Town Hall 440 Yellowstone Ave West Yellowstone, Montana 59758 OR Forsgren Associates, Inc. Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified cashier's check, or a corporate bid bond executed on the prescribed. The envelope enclosing the bid shall be sealed and addressed to the Town of West Yellowstone - Highway Lighting Upgrades and delivered to 440 Yellowstone Ave., or mailed to Town of West Yellowstone, PO BOX 1570, West Yellowstone, Montana 59758. The envelope shall be plainly marked in the upper left-hand corner with the name and address of the bidder and shall bear the words "Bid for," followed by the Project title per the Contract Documents. The certified or cashier's check, money order, or bidder's bond shall be enclosed in the same envelope with the bid. Refer to "Instructions to Bidders" for additional submittal requirements. The attention of Bidders is directed to the applicable federal and state requirements regarding conditions of employment to be observed. All questions relating to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed, in writing, to the ENGINEER for the project.
