Renovation of a parking garage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
Parking garage passenger elevator & hoistway repairs Located at 724 North 2nd Street. The existing public parking structure is a concrete structure built 1960. The elevator was last modernized in 2015. The current issue is the elevator door are not operating correctly. The doors are hanging up on the existing hostway door sill tracks failing to open or close. The city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (City) is requesting proposal for the repair work for the hostway for the east passenger elevator for the City parking structure 2nd and Plankinton. Located at: 724 North 2nd street Parking garage passenger elevator and hoistway repairs to include: 1. Replace hoistway doors and frames with #4 satin stainless steel. 2. Replace car and hoistway door entrance sills and sill support(s) with new. 3. Replace door operator with new. 4. Replace car door panel(s) with new. 5. Replace Car and Landing Door tracks. 6. Replace door hangars with new. 7. Replace door hangar rollers and associated hardware/fasteners with new. 8. Replace all pick up roller assemblies and associated linkage(s) and/or fasteners with new. 9. Replace all door lock assemblies with new. 10. Replace Car and Landing Door panel gibs and fire tabs with new. 11. Replace subfloor with new. 12. Replace Car Operating Panel with new. 13. Replace Traveling Cable and hoistway wiring with new. 14. Replace Hall Landing fixtures/pushbuttons with new. This section specifies requirements for salvaging, recycling and disposing of construction waste for purposes of protecting the environment and reducing project cost. Requirements include the following: Developing a Construction Waste Management Plan including waste management goals and provisions for waste reduction and recycling. Implementing, monitoring and documenting the waste management plan. Incorporating special programs. Evaluating construction waste management. Bidding Elevator Contractors may schedule individual site visit survey as noted below. Bidder participation is urged to become familiar with all aspects of the project and bidding requirements. Prior/Post Pre-Bid meeting, all bidders may schedule a site visit with Matt McNabney ( mmcnab@milwaukee.gov ) if necessary.
