PROJECT INCLUDES REPLACING A HEAT EXCHANGER, CIRCULATION PUMP, 3 WAY CONTROL VALVE, AND PIPING, WHICH PROVIDE HEATING FOR RE-CIRCULATED SWIMMING POOL WATER. ADDITIONALLY, A NEW CIRCULATION PUMP IS TO BE ADDED TO THE POOL WATER HEAT EXCHANGER CIRCULATION PUMP. The Municipality of Anchorage reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening of bids or before the award of contract unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding forty-five (45) days from the time of the opening. The Purchasing Officer may require the Bidder to submit such information as he may deem necessary to determine a bidder's responsibility. Failure or refusal on behalf of the Bidder to submit the required information, in whole or in part, may be grounds for the purchasing Officer to determine the Bidder as non-responsible. You may call in five (5) minutes before any scheduled conference. EMAILED BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bidders shall accompany each Bid with a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, if the total amount of the bid is $100,000 or more, with surety acceptable to the Municipality. If the total bid amount of the bid is less than $100,000, accompany the bid with a bid guarantee, in the form specified above, in an amount of $1,000. Bid Guarantees for the three (3) low Bidders will be held until the Contract is executed. All other Bid Guarantees will be returned within seven (7) days of the bid opening. Bidders shall submit Power-of-Attorney for the person signing the Bid Bond for the Surety. If the amount of the contract is $100,000 or more, the successful Bidder shall furnish the Purchasing Officer a Performance and Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract and shall maintain the Bond in force during the continuance of this Contract including the one- (1-) year warranty period. For projects less than $100,000, the requirement for Performance and Payment Bond is deleted. The Bond shall be for the faithful performance of this Contract in all respects including, but not limited to, payments for all materials and labor. All alterations, extensions of time, additional Work and other changes authorized by the Contract Documents may be made without securing the consent of the Surety or Sureties. The bond shall be with a good and sufficient corporate surety acceptable to the Municipality and a Power-of-Attorney for the person signing the Bond for the Surety must be submitted with the Bond.
