Site work and paving for a road / highway in Leduc, Alberta. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Road Work (2023 Design, 2024 Construction) (Approximate cost of rehabilitation $6,000,000). Willow Park Utility Upgrades and Reconstruction - Year 1 The Willow Park neighbourhood is one of Leduc's oldest, and is currently serviced by an older, deficient sewer system. There is approximately 875m of new storm sewer to be installed, as well as 100m of watermain to either upsize existing. This utility work will result in road reconstruction, including 52nd Street, 53rd Street, 54th Street, 55th Avenue, 56th Avenue, and 57th Avenue. Approximate area of reconstruction is 20,000m2 Various Overlays Overlays, with spot repairs of concrete, are required along Corinthia Drive, from 50th Street west to Bella Coola Drive; Coady Boulevard from Rollyview Road to 33rd Avenue; and Bridgeport Gate from 50th Avenue to Bridgeport Boulevard. Approximate area of overlay is 18,000m2 Central Business District Multiple overlays, with spot repairs of concrete, are required on 47th Street (46 Avenue to 50th Avenue), 49th Avenue, 48th Avenue, and 47th Avenue (50th Street to 47th Street) Approximate area of overlays is 15,800m2 Road Work (2024 Design, 2025 Construction) (Approximate cost of rehabilitation $6,000,000). Willow Park Utility Upgrades and Reconstruction - Year 2 The remaining roads serviced by the existing sewer will include 300m of new storm sewer, as well as 165m of upsized watermain. The road reconstruction for year 2 will consist of 54th Avenue, 51a Street, 51st Street, 52nd Avenue, and 51st Avenue. Approximate area of reconstruction is 12,000m2. Linsford Park Multiple overlays, with spot repairs of concrete, are required on 49th Avenue, 48th Avenue, 52nd Street, 51st Street. Approximate area of overlays is 17,000m2. Bridgeport Overlays An overlay, with spot repairs of concrete, is required on Birchmont Drive, from Bridgeport Boulevard to Birchmont Crescent. Approximate area of overlay is 3,300m2 Rehabilitation of Back Lanes in 2024/2025 (Estimated annual project budget is $750,000) TIMELINE: Planning and design is underway. Tender for construction of the Willow Park Utility Upgrades and Reconstruction is currently underway (followed separately). Further update mid-/fall 2024.
