Removal of the existing Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) - III, located in the southwest quadrant of the Martin County Airport at Witham Field between Runway 12, Runway 7, and Taxiways Charlie installation of the new Automated Weather Observing System - Level III P/T (AWOS-III P/T) in the same location. All new AWOS equipment, tower, concrete pad, and connections will be constructed. This project is being supported, in whole or in part, by a State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Public Transportation grant agreement (FPN: 451518-1-94-01 / Contract #: G2H57) and a U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant agreement. Therefore, the successful contractor and its subcontractors shall comply with all terms and conditions of the grant agreement and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to this Project. Martin County is seeking bids from licensed Contractors for the removal of the existing Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) - III, located in the southwest quadrant of the Martin County Airport at Witham Field between Runway 12, Runway 7, and Taxiways Charlie installation of the new Automated Weather Observing System - Level III P/T (AWOS-III P/T) in the same location. All new AWOS equipment, tower, concrete pad, and connections will be constructed. The County reserves the right to request a written confirmation of the bid and the responsibility of the bidder prior to the awarding of the Contract. the Bid Bond, the bid may be accompanied by a certified check of any national or state bank made payable to the County in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. Any certified check that may be received will be returned to the unsuccessful bidder(s), within thirty (30) calendar days after the opening of the bids.
