Work under this project includes interior renovation to convert existing space into conference rooms and office areas and prepping a section of the kitchen to receive a cart washer (GFE) The project will renovate 9000 GSF of industrial space on the 1st floor of Bldg 1 in the medical support area. Specific brand name will be required to install the Andover brand HVAC controls. Description: Work includes Project at the Medical Support Area Renovation-Building 1, Loma Linda Department of Veterans Affairs: The project's aim is to remodel approximately 13,405 square feet (maybe increased to include corridors) of existing laundry, linen, Medical Supplies (SPS), Logistics and Emergency Management Service (EMS) administrative space (1st Floor) in three (3) phases: -Phase 1: (remodeling SPS department area to accommodate nutrition cart wash, Medical Media and Logistics) -Phase 2: (remodeling Logistics Supply Room) -Phase 3: (remodeling of existing Linen Room to accommodate office space and storage)(remodel Laundry Room to accommodate a conference room that can be subdivided into two rooms) Period of Performance: The total contract performance period is Three Hundred Sixty Five (365) calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). Procurement: This acquisition is Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small-Business (SDVOSB) - Set Aside. Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed Price The magnitude of this construction project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. A site visit will be scheduled, and the date/time/location will be provided in the solicitation. Small Businesses are reminded under FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting that it will not pay more than 85 percent of the amount paid by the Government for contract performance to subcontractors that are not similarly situated entities. Any work that a similarly situated entity further subcontracts will count towards the prime contractor's 85 percent subcontract amount that cannot be exceeded. Any work that a similarly situated entity further subcontracts will count toward the Contractor's 85 percent subcontract amount that it cannot exceed per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting. The official Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about late Jul 2023 - Aug 2023 via Contract Opportunities at sam.gov and inviting firms to register electronically to receive a copy of the solicitation when it is issued. Please note that this procurement will include a brand name material that will be embedded in the specification. Required brand name will be posted on a separate posting. SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM) REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT: Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the SAM database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for a Government contract award. If the Offeror is a Joint Venture (JV), the JV entity shall have valid SAM registration in the SAM database representing the JV as one business/firm/entity. If at the time of award an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective Offeror. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the designated government point of entry - sam.Gov - frequently for any amendments or changes to the solicitation. All offerors/bidders are also advised that this procurement may be delayed, cancelled or revised at any time during the solicitation, evaluation and/or final award process. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
