Alberta Infrastructure (“INFRA”) has received Government of Alberta approval to proceed with the procurement of the design, build, finance and maintenance (“DBFM”) of seven new schools in Alberta. The P3 Schools Bundle #5 (the “DBFM Project”) is a continuation of, and will be structured similarly to the prior Alberta Schools Alternative Procurement (“ASAP”), Building Alberta’s School Construction Program (“BASCP”), and P3 Schools Bundle #2 projects and in line with Alberta’s Public-Private Partnership Framework and Guideline (as defined in Appendix “A”). The seven schools to be built as part of the DBFM Project will be located in Airdrie, Blackfalds, Calgary, Chestermere, Edmonton (two), and Okotoks. These seven new schools are intended to open for School Jurisdiction (as defined below) use in 2027. The Government of Alberta is seeking to shortlist proponents to deliver seven schools selected as suitable candidates for the delivery using a Design Build Finance Maintain methodology. Each of these schools is located within the Edmonton to Calgary corridor. The schools would be delivered as a bundle which would provide over 7,000 student spaces and over 58,000 square metres of learning space.
