Renovation of a transportation facility in Lackawanna, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
Qualifications are being solicited from Architectural and Engineering (A/E) firms to provide design and engineering services for the removal of existing rail adjacent to New York State Route 5 and the expansion of rail service and improvements on the Tecumseh Redevelopment Inc. (Tecumseh) property. Removal of the rail encumbering the Tecumseh property adjacent to Route 5 will allow full redevelopment of the property through the Buffalo and Erie County Industrial Land Corporation (ILDC), part of the ECIDA group of entities. The new rail service will serve existing and potential new customers for Renaissance Commerce Park, Tecumseh, Port of Buffalo, Gateway Trade Center Inc. (GTC) and South Buffalo Railway (SBR) properties. Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 5% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 30% Disadvantaged Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% A budget range of $500,000 to $600,000 will be available for the entire project which is to include all design and engineering work. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
