Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in San Antonio, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
**As of October 6, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Construction may include but is not limited to: asphalt milling and overlay, seal coat, base and pavement replacement, cleaning and sealing joints and cracks, curbramps, concrete curbs, sidewalks, driveways, concrete retaining walls-combination type, speed humps, topsoil, sodding, signage, pavement markings installation, adjusting existing valve boxes and manholes, and any other items required due to the site conditions to accomplish the project scope. Question Deadline 07/27/2023 at 4:00 PM CT A. Payment will be made upon presentation of a paid invoice for the payment bond and performance bond. The payment for bonds will be no more than 2.5% of the total Contract amount, or the lump sum Contractor bid amount, whichever is less. This task order construction contract start shall begin within thirty (30) calendar days of the executed contract or issuance of the first task order, whichever comes first. The contract shall be terminated two hundred and seventy (270) calendar days from the start of the contract. City will send a time statement to Contractor with their official Contract start and stop date. Contractor shall provide a project delivery and baseline schedule within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving the street list from the City. If a project delivery and baseline schedule is not provided by the Contractor within 14 calendar days of receiving the street list, the City reserves the right to not issue any future task orders and hold payment if necessary to the Contractor until a project delivery and baseline schedule has been received. Project Duration This task order construction contract start shall begin within thirty (30) calendar days of the executed contract or issuance of the first task order, whichever comes first. The contract shall be terminated two hundred and seventy (270) calendar days from the start of the contract. The construction time (in calendar days) for each individual site will be negotiated between the City Engineer or Project Manager and the Contractor. The Contractor may also be limited to the amount of individual project sites open at any given time based on performance or available resources. Liquidated damages for construction time will be assessed on a per site basis should the Contractor fail to complete the construction in the specified calendar days as negotiated by the City Engineer or Project Manager. The Contractor shall refer to section 4.2.6 of the general conditions for claims for additional contract time due to inclement weather. Project Scope Project construction may include but is not limited to: asphalt milling and overlay, seal coat, base and pavement replacement, cleaning and sealing joints and cracks, curb ramps, concrete curbs, sidewalks, driveways, concrete retaining walls-combination type, speed humps, topsoil, sodding, signage, pavement markings installation, adjusting existing valve boxes, meter boxes and manholes, and any other items required due to the site conditions to accomplish the project scope. The project includes 100% base repair. Quantities included in this contract, as well as the entire bid amount are not guaranteed. Unit prices established shall remain valid throughout the duration of the contract. Project Location A tentative street list will be provided with a future addendum for bidding purposes only. Project locations may be spread throughout the City. Each project site is considered a separate task and will be issued as a separate Task Order, with the City providing anticipated quantities to the Contractor.
