BTU is seeking the services of an experienced professional architectural firm for the design of a high security NERC/ERCOT compliant electric transmission control center. Tasks will include assessing and verifying existing site conditions, review and verify BTU design requirements, provide specifications for furniture, fixtures and equipment, provide computer-aided drafting and document, prepare bid documents, provide permitting services, estimate construction costs, provide value engineering, assist with bidding and award activities, arrange and conduct meetings, perform construction phase services, including construction management, and assist in the warranty review. Project will include the design of an approximately 2,500 - 3,000 square-foot high security NERC/ERCOT 345kV compliant electrical transmission compliant control center. Control center will include three operator control stations for Systems Operations Center (SOC) operations, two control stations for Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) operations, two supervisor office spaces, kitchen, network room, electrical room, UPS, emergency generator, conference space, storage room, bathroom and shower. The Design Team shall consist of civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural design capability. The following services will be required from the Team selected for the project. All SOQs become the property of BTU upon submittal. BTU reserves the right to retain all SOQs submitted and to use any idea in a submittal regardless of whether that firm or team is selected. Submission of an SOQ indicates acceptance by the firm of the terms and conditions contained in this request for qualifications, unless clearly and specifically noted in the SOQ submitted and confirmed in the contract between BTU and the firm or team selected.
