The Municipality of Brighton (Municipality) wishes to engage the services of a qualified and experienced Contractor for the supply of all necessary materials, services, and equipment to complete Sanitary Sewer Flushing, Cleaning, CCTV and Trenchless Rehabilitation of their collection system including Maintenance Holes. The Municipality will consider a variety of repair methods (CIPP, Grouting, PVC Lining, etc.) but bidders must provide detailed information on the materials and methodologies as well as documented proof of project implementation and related references. The intent of this project is to identify and repair structural and infiltration and inflow (I&I) deficiencies to reduce hydraulic loads, improve system condition, and reduce risk of failure in sections of the Urban Sanitary Sewer Collection System. It is estimated that this program will require approximately 5,000 meters of flushing and CCTV work and an estimated 500 metres of lining of selected lengths of main, including isolated joint and connection repairs, as well as the sealing of associated manholes. Contractors should note that the actual length of pipe lined/repaired may vary considerably, depending on the extent of repairs identified during flushing and CCTV inspection. A running total of inspection and repair costs will be tracked to ensure expenditures do not exceed the current budget for this program which is approximately $280,000. The successful Contractor will be required to work closely with Environmental Services Staff to identify the location and type of repairs as well as track expenditures. The Contractor must also provide a digital report to the satisfaction of the Municipality (including CCTV Video Records), documenting the structures and sections of pipe inspected, general condition of the infrastructure, type and location of issues and repairs completed, and recommendations for future/additional work.
