The VA Central Western Massachusetts in Leeds, MA requires a contractor to replace the roof of building (Lake) 7 that will improve the structure of Veterans Administration Facility. The General Contractor shall provide professional services to include all labor, transportation, materials, apparatus, tools, equipment and permits necessary to in accordance with this scope of work. The work on building 7 shall include replacement of roof, snow guards, abatement of lead and asbestos, rafters, framing, gutters, downspouts, eaves, fascia, vents, flashing, beams, ridge caps, vent pipes, underlayment, and other roofing components and repair. Asbestos containing material may be present in some areas. The General Contractor shall ensure all work complies with all VHA, OSHA, EPA, and Mass DEP standards. VA design manuals, design guidelines, and all other VA requirements for this scope of work. Conduct preliminary project scope meetings and site survey investigations to develop the necessary elements for conceptual layout schemes with proposed alternatives consistent with the VA s project team goals as prioritized during preliminary project meetings, field surveys and studies. The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are qualified SDVOSBs or VOSBs, WOSBs, and Small Businesses that have the experience with this type of work and if such firms are interested in this procurement. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The NAICS code is 238160 and the small business standard is $19 Million. The following information is required in response to this notice: A positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation for this project; Unique Entity Identifier (UEI); Provide one example of a project similar in scope, magnitude, and complexity to the project description above; Provide one example of a multi-phased project in a Northeast Healthcare Facility showing experience managing multiple crews at one time due to the size, scope, and limited time during the non-heating season months in the Northeast; Prime shall provide proof of bonding capacity for a project of this magnitude; Prime shall provide proof of insurance for a construction project of this magnitude.
