Design-Build Project: 3.19 mi of alternate pavement bid freeway reconstruction on US-131, ramp upgrades, weave/merge lanes, drainage improvements, concrete valley gutter with median barrier, guardrail, intelligent traffic systems, freeway lighting, permanent signing, and pavement markings from 100th Street to 76th Street in Byron Township, Kent County. Alternate 1 (Section 2) is an HMA alternate and contains a 5 year materials and workmanship pavement warranty. Alternate 2 (Section 3) is a concrete alternate and contains a 5 year materials and workmanship pavement warranty. Only shortlisted contractors are eligible to bid on this project. 210072 Net classification required for this project is 64000 B or 64000 Cb or 64000 Ea In addition to the above minimum prequalification requirement for prime contractors this project includes subclassifications of Ea or either B or Cb. If the prime contractor is not prequalified in those subclassifications it must use prequalified subcontractors.
