Green Lake County Parks & Recreation Department Request bids for Removal of Concrete Launch Ramps & Replacement The Green Lake County Parks & Recreation Department is requesting bids for the removal of 2 existing concrete launch ramps and the replacement of the 2 launch ramps. The planned project is to replace the concrete ramps of the existing boat landing to aid in the launching of watercraft. The project is located in the Town of Green Lake,. T14N-R12E, SEi/4 SE1/4 Section 10, on the property owned by Green Lake County. The soils where the project will be located are Mf, Marsh. The current use of the land is for public boat launch and parking. There are currently 5 watercraft launches for public uses. The launch that is proposed to have the concrete ramps replaced is the western most double launch, for a total of 2 ramp replacements. The plan is to use an excavator to remove the existing concrete ramps and install new pre-cast launch ramps in their place. The pre-cast dimensions are 12' wide x 8' long and there will be 3 sections installed on each launch for a total of 24'. Each of the segments will be tied together with cables or a hook and latch system. Each ramp replacement will 6"- 18" of crushed rock base below the precast ramp. There will also be rock rip rap toe protection at the lakeward end of the ramp, this elevation will match the natural level of the lake. All excavated material will be removed from the site and deposited in an upland area off site. The project will be completed with a tracked excavator, and dump trucks will be used to haul the material offsite. The plan will be to be complete this project by the fall of 2023.
