A. Project Identification Wastewater Treatment Facility Waterline Extension 1. Project Location: Crab Creek Road from Christiansburg's Wastewater Treatment Facility towards Switchback Road. 2. Owner: Town of Christiansburg, ATTN: Michael Kelley - Engineering Director, 100 East Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073 B. Engineer Identification: The Contract Documents, dated June 28, 2023 were prepared for this Project by Peed & Bortz, LLC, Civil and Environmental Engineers, 20 Midway Plaza Drive Ste. 100, Christiansburg, VA 24073. C. The Work consists of installation of approximately 1350 l.f. of 8 water main and miscellaneous appurtenances near the Town of Christiansburg Wastewater Treatment Facility. Two wells on the town property will be abandoned as part of this project. D. Additive Alternate #1 Work consists of installation of approximately 1350 l.f. of 2 schedule 40 PVC conduit and miscellaneous appurtenances installed adjacent to the water main trench. Contractor will install the PVC approximately 24 deep along the edge of the water main excavation trench closest to the ROW (outside and south side of the trench) along the water main route. The Project consists of installation of approximately 1,350 linear feet of 8-inch water main and miscellaneous appurtenances near the Town of Christiansburg Wastewater Treatment Facility. Two wells on the town property will be abandoned as part of this project. An additive alternate consists of the of installation of approximately 1,350 linear feet of PVC conduit and miscellaneous appurtenances installed adjacent to the water main trench. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.
