Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Upper Makefield, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.

As of August 25, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Project includes a base bid and three (3) alternates in Upper Makefield Township. The base contract includes the construction of four (4) pickleball courts, 8 foot high perimeter fencing, nets and foundations, 2 fence gates to enter the playing area, court painting, line painting, etc. Alternate #1 includes substituting a 10' high perimeter fence for the 8' high fence included in the base bid. Only the cost difference between a 10' high perimeter fence and the 8' high fence shall be entered for alternate #1. Alternate #2 includes the installation of an asphalt walking path from the existing handicap parking spaces to the location of the new pickleball courts. Alternate #3 includes the installation of eighteen (18) additional parking spaces using previous asphalt. Clarification Deadline 7/20/2023 7:30 AM Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to the Township of Upper Makefield along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of the Township of Upper Makefield and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by the Township of Upper Makefield. A pre-bid meeting will not be held for this project. This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. The Township of Upper Makefield reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informality in the bids.
