Site work and paving for a road / highway in Whittier, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of, removing and replacing existing asphalt pavement from Whittier Boulevard to Leffingwell Road. Additional project elements include reconstruction of access ramps, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, cross gutters and restriping including furnishing all labor, materials, tools and equipment, in accordance with the project plans as specified hereinafter, project specifications as specified hereinafter for the City of Whittier, Los Angeles County, State of California, and in accordance with the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (The Greenbook), 2021 Edition, Specifications of the State of California, Department of Transportation (Caltrans), latest edition, Caltrans Standards Plans, (latest edition) and the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, (CAMUTCD-latest edition). Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, tools, materials, appliances, and equipment to complete the project and be responsible for obtaining and paying for all required permits from Caltrans, Los Angeles County, Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), and a no fee excavation permit(s) for the project from the City of Whittier, Public Works Department.
