Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Augusta, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
This project consists of replacing approximately 45 linear feet of 30" reinforced concrete pipe that is failing underneath Canterbury Drive. The project will include the replacement of the existing storm sewer culvert with a 42" double barrel high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, a precast headwall, a cast in place headwall, saw-cutting, demolition and replacement of approximately 1200 square feet of existing pavement, demolition and replacement of approximately 80 linear feet of curb, gutter and sidewalk, roadway striping where pavement is replaced to match existing striping, erosion control (installation, maintenance, and removal), and permanent stabilization. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, in whole or in part, with or without cause, and to waive informalities, technicalities or irregularities in the Bids or the Contract Documents. Also, this project is of sufficient complexity that the City reserves the right to reject any contractor who does not have previous experience with projects of a similar nature and complexity The City, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to select the Bidder that it deems most advantageous to the City. Time for Performance. The Contractor shall have 30 consecutive calendar days (excluding Sundays and legal holidays) from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed to complete the entire Project.
