Replace one existing 1050-ton water-cooled chiller and cooling tower with three (3) new 255-ton air-cooled chillers, pumps, and supporting electrical upgrades to serve as the new 510-ton chiller plant for the Base Scope of this project. Also required as part of the Base Scope is demolition of piping and equipment needed to allow installation of the new 255-ton air-cooled chiller plant. The project involves construction of the CP07010 Chiller Replacement. The scope includes the Base and eight (8) Add Alternates: Base - Demolition of the existing water-cooled chiller and cooling tower and construction of a new 510-ton chiller plant and supporting electrical upgrades. Add Alternate 1 - includes demolition of abandoned mechanical equipment and piping within the OSF plant. Add Alternate 2 - includes demolition of abandoned mechanical piping throughout the facility and remote to the OSF plant, and associated replacement of ceiling tiles. Add Alternate 3 - includes the installation of a new roll-up exterior door at the OSF plant and supporting exterior Civil/Landscape. Add Alternate 4 - Provide an extended warranty up to 10 years for the Air-Cooled, Rotary-Screw Water Chillers and Pumps. Add Alternate 5 - Provide and Install a Second Roll-up Exterior Door (northern door), no site/civil work associated. Add Alternate 6 - Provide and install a 10’ tall AOC standard wooden security construction fence in lieu of chain link fence, painted both sides. Add Alternate 7 - Provide an extended General Contractor Workmanship Warranty for two (2) years in lieu of one (1) year. Add Alternate 8 - Increase requirements for dedicated Contractor personnel to include one full-time Safety Representative and one full-time Quality Control Manager for the duration of the project.
