The project consists of 'on-call services' for a twelve-month period for the restoration of existing concrete sidewalks and reconstructing concrete sidewalks, reinforced concrete sidewalks, reinforced concrete driveway aprons, or concrete curbing at various sidewalk locations. The restoration locations are to be provided by Union City, or their representative, as work is completed in connection with previously issued Union City Building Department Sidewalk Opening Permits. The required restoration work must be completed within three (3) days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed for the designated location. A Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "City of Union City" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of this project is required. Contractor must submit within the same sealed bid envelope one (1) original proposal package and two (2) complete copies of the bid package (clipped, not stapled). The Owner or the Engineer reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before furnishing proposal forms or specifications, or before awarding the Contract. Proposals for this Contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract documents. The provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.). C. Anti-Kickback Regulations under Section 2 of the Act of June 13, 1934, known as the Copeland Act. D. Worker and Community Right-to-Know Act. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner
