Renovation of a water / sewer project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
2 bids received - Tricon Construction Group and WRH, Inc. - No $ given. The Work generally consists of replacement of the Internal DAFT Equipment, repair or replacement of process slide gates, and associated structural repairs and modifications. Anticipated Start Date: September 20, 2023 Milestones: Substantial Completion - September 22, 2024 Final Completion: October 21, 2024 Bid security, as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code, in the amount of FIVE (5) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. The Engineer's opinion of probable construction cost for the Work is $5,650,000.00. The Engineer's opinion of probable construction cost for Alternate 1 is $200,000.00. The Engineer's opinion of probable construction cost for Alternate 2 is $510,000.00. The City Council of the City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to enter such contracts as it deems in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for 45 calendar days after the bids have been received and opened.
