The work consists of renovations to the parking garage for Erie County Children and Youth located at 154 West 9th Street, Erie, PA. B. Construction will be via a General Contractor. C. Scope of Work: 1. All construction work as shown and specified. 2. Work includes concrete repairs, steel railing repairs, removal and replacement of concrete water proofing, caulking, control joints, etc. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's or trust company treasurer's check, or approved Surety Company's bid bond, made payable to the County of Erie in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the base bid as a security. All contracts exceeding $10,000 shall contain a provision requiring compliance with Executive order 11246, entitled, "Equal Employment Opportunity," as amended by Executive order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). Project Labor Agreement compliance applies. The Work shall be commenced at the time stipulated in the Notice to Proceed and shall be completed no later than 120 calendar days. As actual damages for any delay in completion are impossible for determination, the Contractor and his sureties shall be liable for and shall pay to THE COUNTY OF ERIE the sum of $500.00 per day, as fixed, agreed and liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay until the Work is completed. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set forth in the opening of bids. The County of Erie reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept/reject any part of the bids.
