Site work for a water / sewer project in Sioux City, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project is located on 41st Street and includes the extension of the sanitary sewer along 41st Street from the existing sanitary sewer west of the BNSF Railroad tracks to Highway 75 N Each bid must be made on a form furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier's check or certified check of an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Sioux City, Iowa. The check or draft may be cashed by the City Treasurer as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within the ten (10) days after notice of award and post bond satisfactory to the City ensuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract. This project has an early start date of March 1, 2024 and a late start date of April 15, 2024. All work on the overall project shall be completed within 85 working days. All work within the BNSF right of way portion of the project (above and below grade) has an early start date of March 1, 2024 and a late start date of April 15, 2024. All work on the BNSF portion of the project shall be completed within 6 working days.
