Renovation of a religious / funeral development in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a religious / funeral development.
The project involves the purchase of in-kind historic entry and access replacement wooden doors replicating existing 1940s doors currently installed at the building location. The replacement doors will need to be manufactured in a manner that exactly reproduces the historic appearance of each interior and exterior profile, assembly design, details, and appearance. Due to the historic significance of the commissary building, each doors vertical tongue and groove components, metal accoutrements, and all associated door assembly and manufacturing techniques are required to meet or exceed the Secretary of Interiors Preservation Brief Standards. Fort Smith National Historic Site, located in Fort Smith, Arkansas, has a requirement for historically accurate, replica wooden doors. See Attachment 10 for statement of work.
