Renovation of a municipal facility in Fort Benning, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The objective of this mechanical scope is to replace the current 330-Ton (nominal) Air-Cooled chiller that is has been intermittently out of commission, due to the excessive cost and effort to repair and maintain the chiller (including, at times, using a temporary chiller). This project will require de novo sizing calculations using professional grade software or calculation methods (software such as Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, Autodesk products, and ASHRAE tables, formulas, programs, or white papers) — these methods will be used to get the new baseline tonnage for the new Air-Cooled Chiller. The final tonnage number for the AirCooled Chiller shall add to this baseline tonnage another 15% (for a total of 115% of the baseline tonnage). If there isn’t enough information beforehand to do a proper bid, we can temporarily assume that the new Air-Cooled Chiller will be 330*(1+(15/100)) = 379.5-tons (round up to 380-tons), or as close as possible to this nominal tonnage.
