Site work and renovation of a military facility in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Working plans call for the renovation of a 81,000-square-foot military facility; and for site work for a military facility.
Cancellation Description In accordance with FAR 14.404-1(c)(6), the agency head has determined this solicitation is cancelled. Project Description The work includes: 81,000 GSF gross square feet. Renovate existing hangar building with functional spaces and supporting building systems. Requirement is to provide a Squadron Operations, Maintenance Facility, and Aircraft Hangar for support of a new AFSOC squadron and airframe. Airframe is to be determined. Currently no support facilities are located at Pope AAF (Fort Bragg) for the proposed aircraft. Intent is for a 62 person aircrew/support staff squadron, 20 person CLS COMBS, and protection and maintenance space for (2) new aircraft. The program also includes a composite shop (existing), metals tech (existing), battery storage, hazmat storage, and avionics shop. Existing shower, restrooms and locker rooms will be reused at the first floor and new restrooms will be provided on the second floor. Description of Proposed Construction The existing structure which consisted of a wash bay and corrosion control bay shall be converted to a Special Operations Squadron and Maintenance building. The footprint of the building will only be modified to accept an exterior staircase to service the second floor and enclose an existing exterior vestibule. Major differences between the original facility configuration and the revised validated gross building area are as follows: The mezzanine area is to be extended and converted to administrative spaces complying with ICD705 requirements. The first floor will be altered to convert office space into a dining/dayroom for an alert crew and their visitors. Offices will be converted into an exercise room to support 24/7 operations. Crew readiness rooms will be constructed from pre-existing shop and storage rooms. Existing back shops will be repurposed to support new shop, MX and COMBs storage functions. An elevator and shaft will be constructed to ensure the facility is ABA compliant. and incidental related work. W912PM23B0001 P8-00001-20 Renovation of Hangar 750, Fort Liberty, North Carolina The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to reconfigure existing Hangar 750 at Pope AAF (Fort Liberty). Existing shower, restrooms, and locker rooms will be reused on the first floor, and new restrooms will be provided on the second floor. There will also be supporting site work, asphalt repaving, security fencing/gates, underground storage tank, site utility connections and landscaping. When complete the facility will support a 62-person crew, and a 20 person CLS COMBs and maintenance shop. The project is approximately 81,000 square feet. This contract will be Firm-Fixed Price. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and the size standard is $45,000,000.00. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $25,000,000 and $50,000,000. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. This solicitation is 100% Competitive 8(a) set-aside.
