GENERAL LAKETRAN is the regional transit authority for Lake County, Ohio. Lake County is located 35 miles east of Cleveland. The western portion of Lake County is located within the Cleveland Urbanized area and is densely developed. The eastern half is rural in nature. Purpose LAKETRAN seeks sealed bids from qualified firms to provide snowplowing services. The requirements for the submittal and content of proposals, the timetable for this procurement, performance requirements, and contract terms are detailed in this Request For Proposal. The terms "proposal", "Invitation for Bid", "IFB", "proposal", "Request for Proposals", "RFP", "bidder", "proposer", "contractor" and the like are used interchangeably throughout this IFB/RFP.
