Demolition and renovation of a mixed-use development in Bakersfield, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 12,000-square-foot day care center; and for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility.
This project includes but not limited to demolition, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and finishes to convert a 12,000 square foot metal building currently used for Maintenance and Operations into a Central Kitchen. Question Deadline:07/27/2023 August 16 – 30, 2023 Analysis of proposals and interviews if required September 2, 2023 Execution of contracted services Small, Women and/or Minority-Owned Business: Efforts will be made by CAPK to utilize small businesses, women and minority-owned businesses, with the consideration that the primary responsibility is the most favorable return to CAPK. CAPK anticipates but does not guarantee that the Contract will be awarded by September 1, 2023. The construction schedule should meet the Owner's estimated completion date, promote efficiency, and have the least amount of impact on the Owner operations and the Project stakeholders. The Owner intends to fully reoccupy the building as of August 31st, 2024. The Design-Builder is requested to accommodate this in its work plan and schedule. CAPK reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received in response to this RFP. The Contract for the accepted proposal will be based upon the factors described in this RFP.
