Renovation of a library in Fonthill, Ontario. Design plans call for the renovation of a library.
Phased retrofit & renovation to the existing library, including renovation of the existing floor space, updating of the facility's energy system, repairs to the exterior of the facility as necessary, installation of an elevator from the main floor to the basement, new furniture & shelving and any other upgrades necessary to ensure the building complies with AODA regulations. Exterior site works include addressing the existing grading issues that promote flooding near the building, reconstruction of the existing parking lot. TIMELINE: Council has decided to break the project into two phases to assist with the management of project costs. Project is in detailed design. Tender and construction timelines may be confirmed summer 2026. Phase One budget is $1.5 million. Phase Two budget is $2.5 million.
