Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Markham, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; bridge / tunnel; bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The City is soliciting Bids for the supply of labour, equipment and materials for rehabilitation of expansion joints at the approach slabs at the Birchmount Vehicular bridge. The scope of work for this project includes but is not limited to the following: - Provide traffic management in accordance with the contract document Ontario Book 7; - Provide erosion and sediment controls, and tree protection as specified; - Locate utilities within the project area: - Daylight top of the existing pipes by hydrovac or similar procedure; - Step remove asphalt as shown on the drawings; - Excavate and remove end of the approach slabs as specified; - Construct the sleeper slab drainage pipe, extend it under the sidewalk utility block, core through the retaining walls, continue to daylight its ends out of embankment; - Construct Sleeper slabs and the ends of approach slabs with "joint installation after paving" method; - Place 2 layers of asphalt matching the existing; - Saw cut asphalt and install the expansion joint; - Repair any damage to the slab on-grade sidewalk and any other component.
