Purpose: The purpose and intent of this Quick Quote is to obtain a fixed price bid to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, and supervision to conduct painting maintenance on (1) one structure, Park Office, located on the grounds of Machicomoco State Park. Scope of Work The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision to repair and paint the exterior of the Park Office located at Machicomoco State Park, 3601 Timberneck Farm Rd. Hayes, Virginia, 23072. Contractor is responsible for maintaining all necessary insurance and licenses as required. Contractor shall provide documentation before work can begin. Work Dates: Contractor must coordinate work dates with the park. The work will commence no later than 30 calendar days after contract award. Park contact is Emily Harlan, Office Manager at 804-642-2419. Any deviation from this schedule must be approved in advance by the park. Work Hours: All services shall be performed, unless mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and the Park Representative, during normal business hours, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except for State & Federal Holidays. Crews will not be allowed to stay in the cabins while completing the work. Scope for Services 1. Contractor will be responsible for cleaning, preparation (scraping, filling holes, caulking, etc.) and painting of wood of all exterior parts of the building. This includes the following: Doors - (6) six wood doors; all trim and thresholds. Windows - 76"x40" (15) fifteen; 73"x43" (7) seven; 40"X40" (6) six; preparation required includes scraping, re-glazing, and painting windows, sills, ledges, and lintels. Wood siding and roof overhangs of entire building - approximately 1,296 sq ft. Covered Porches -approximately 285 sq ft (2) two, all ceilings and support beams. 2. Contractor will provide ALL painting supplies and equipment (brushes, rollers, ladders, poles, rags, caulk, etc.) and paint. 3. Contractor shall provide Sherwin Williams Exterior Grade Super Paint or Agency approved equivalent. Color code(s) for required painted surfaces will be provided to contractor prior to start of work. 4. Contractor shall provide (2) two coats paint minimum as full coverage. 5. Contractor shall coordinate painting schedule with park prior to beginning work to ensure no user/guest conflict. 6. Contractor shall be responsible for removing and reinstalling all existing devices presently mounted on existing walls and ceilings as it applies to painting area, including, but not limited to: light fixtures, down spouts, etc. 7. Contractor will be responsible for pruning or trimming back limbs, branches, or foliage which may be an impedance to proper preparation and painting of exterior surfaces.
