The Madison Board of Education of the Town of Madison, Connecticut is seeking SEALED proposals from interested individuals, contractors or consultant teams for independent structural review services for a new PreK-5 elementary school on a newly acquired property located on Mungertown Road in Madison CT. The Town of Madison intends to commission one firm to provide such code review services. The proposing firm will have the responsibility to provide these services through its own firm’s capabilities and consultants as approved by the Owner. The selected individual or firm shall provide a structural engineering review of the structural plans and specifications of the proposed new school facility in accordance with Conn. Gen. Stat. 29-276b(b). The structural engineering firm shall submit to the School Building Committee (SBC) via the Owner's Project Manager (OPM), a written report of its structural review of the proposed facility for compliance with the requirements of the State Building Code ("Code") and shall specifically identify any members, systems, and/or components of the primary structural support systems that do not comply with the requirements of the Code. The project will be permitted in the Town of Madison and will be designed to the current Edition of the Connecticut State Building Code (Code), and all applicable Federal and State Regulations and Local Ordinances. The Town of Madison intends to commission one firm to provide such structural review services.
