The Town of Avon, CT invites sealed bids for the upgrade of its Route 44 sanitary sewer pump station as further described in the Specifications. This contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including non-discrimination statutes and set-aside requirements. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract to be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services. The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check of the bidder or a Bid bond with a surety acceptable to the Town in an amount equal to at least TEN PERCENT (10%) of the Bid amount. The Performance Security shall be equal to at least FIFTY PERCENT (50%) of the Contract price, and in a form reasonably acceptable to the Town.
