Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Whigham, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Work to Be Done: The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Old 179 North Box Culvert Improvements as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of the construction of a six foot (6') wide, six foot (6') tall, seventy five foot long (75') concrete box culvert, sheet piling, dumped stone rip rap, grading, base and pavement with additional miscellaneous measures shown in the construction drawings. This work will be awarded in one (1) contract with a 90 consecutive calendar day construction schedule. Contractor License: Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation Contractor. License number must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown Bonds: All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing.
