Cook County is requesting bids for the collection, transport, and environmentally safe removal, disposal and/or recycling of certain waste that will be stored in various sizes of trash compactors to be located at designated facilities in accordance with the specifications listed in this request for bids. The Contractor shall provide these services for various Cook County Departments, all in accordance with the Contract Documents, Specifications, and Proposal herein. Materials serviced in the bid include but are not limited to: A. Non-hazardous solid waste (also known as trash or garbage or landfill or municipal solid waste, but hereafter called refuse: B. Co-mingled recycling (plastic bottles, aluminum cans, bi-metal cans, aluminum foil, polyethylene terephthalate, and petroleum thermoplastic) Questions submission deadline: August 10, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Local Time - Chicago Questions regarding this Bid should be directed to: BUYER CONTACT INFORMATION: Buyer: HERMINE WISE CONTRACT NEGOTIATOR E-Mail: HERMINE.WISE@COOKCOUNTYIL.GOV The Bidder shall have a subcontracting goal of not less than 25% MBE and 10% percent WBE of the awarded contract price for work to be performed. The County reserves the right to reject or accept any or all Bid Proposals, to extend the bidding period, to waive technicalities in the Bid and/or to withdraw or cancel the Bid or to issue a new Bid
