Site work and paving for a road / highway in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The scope of work consists of, but not limited to, the following tasks for reconstructing various roadways (Dallas/Hanna Nash Rd, Louis Rd, Old Atascocita Rd, Marshall Rd and Smith Rd.) approximately 5.7 miles. And for rehabilitating (milling/overlay including base repair areas for "Old Atascocita Rd 2" - Approximately 0.8 mile within Harris County Precinct 3. 1. Remove and dispose of existing asphalt surface, base material and subgrade as required and as specified in drawings. 2. Stabilized minimum of 6" subgrade with 3% Lime and 8% Flay-Ash for all roadways except "Old Atascocita Rd 2". Refer to Geotech Report and drawings. 3. Apply 6"-HMAC Base Course (Black Base) for all roads except "Old Atascocita Rd 2". Refer to Geotech Report and drawings. 4. Perform pavement milling of 2" depth of asphalt surface for "Old Atascocita Rd 2". 5. Perform 6" of localized Base Repairs at designated areas (Field verified by the Engineer) for Old Atascocita Rd 2 portion (Refer to drawings). 6. Apply HMAC Type "D" Course, 2'' thickness for the entire roadway area. 7. Existing asphalt driveways shall be milled/overlayed from edge of pavement to right of way limits. Existing concrete driveways shall receive asphalt daylight taper as needed and for existing gravel driveways shall be replaced with asphalt surface from edge of pavement to right of way limits. 8. Place reflectorized Pavement Markings, Type I, along with other related pavement markings, where existing pavement markings are overlaid with new asphalt. 9. Remove and replace existing street/traffic signs. 10. Install and Replace/Repair guardrails on Dallas-Hanna Nash Road, Old Atascocita Road (Refer to drawings). 11. Implementation of storm water pollution prevention (SWPPP) measures. 12. Provide adequate traffic control detour during all phases of construction. 13. Cleanup and site restoration. Performance and Payment Bonds, requires the vendor to provide a payment bond on all public works jobs that exceed $25,000, and a performance bond on all public works jobs that exceed $100,000. In accordance with Section 2258 of the Texas Government Code, contractor and any subcontractor hired by contractor for the construction of any project, shall not pay less than the rates set forth in the Schedule of Prevailing Wages attached and incorporated by reference in each Project Manual.
