The objective of this Bid call is to invite Contractors to remove and replace select windows and overhead garage doors, at the Clark Transit Facility, 185 Clark Blvd, Brampton. There are six (6) remaining older overhead doors (circa 2003) by maintenance and shipping areas that require replacement. The door numbers are 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, and 29. Since door 24 are infrequently used, it is recommended to replace it with a standard insulated sectional metal overhead doors. As doors 22, 23, 25, 27 (detailing bay), and 29 service smaller areas, Transit would like well insulated overhead doors that operate at a higher speed than regular doors, but they do not need to be as fast as high rapid rollup doors. The glazing at the office area are circa 2003 (two lites are 2004/2005) with the exception of the 2019 installed ones at the curved marketing office wall and to the right of the staff entrance doors (when facing them from the exterior). It is recommended to replace the glazing, which are nearing the end of its life span, at the same time as the overhead garage doors. The City expects that Contractors have the ability, experience, equipment and financial stability to enable them to perform and satisfactorily complete the work as outlined in the specifications.
