This job description is based on past experience. If geologic conditions or drilling costs are significantly different than anticipated the number and/or depth of holes will be adjusted. MGS plans to drill in at least three (3) different counties in Minnesota. MGS expects material differences for each region and drillers should be aware of this for drilling purposes. In Swift County, MGS anticipates drilling five (5) holes ranging from approximately one hundred fifty to three hundred fifty (150 to 350) feet. Drift sediments in this county are generally loam to clay loam in texture with occasional sand and gravel intervals. Glaciolacustrine, glaciodeltaic, and glaciofluvial sand, silt and clay are the dominant surface sediments in the lower flat areas of the county. Cretaceous and Precambrian bedrock may be encountered in all holes and may be tagged up to five (5) feet. Any award made as a result of this RFx process will be governed by the terms and conditions included in this RFx or additional negotiated terms and conditions. NOTE: In the University's terms and conditions included in this RFx, the phrase "Purchase Order" shall refer to the award made pursuant to this RFx process. The term "Seller" or "Contractor" shall refer to respondent receiving an award under this RFx process. The drilling project in Swift, Lyon, and Murray Counties, Minnesota, as described below, will tentatively begin on or about Monday, August 14, 2023, and is projected to take eight to twelve weeks. An exact starting date will be discussed with the successful bidder and will agreed to in writing before a contract is awarded. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
