Renovation of a municipal facility in St Marys, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,250-square-foot, two-story above grade, one-story below grade municipal facility.
Prequalification submissions are requested from General Contractors to complete the renovation of the first storey including the existing Council Chambers at St. Marys Town Hall. Description of Project: 1. The area of the renovation is approximately 2,250 square feet. 2. Access to finished areas of the basement and second storey will be required to perform work during construction, accommodations to minimize disruption will be critical and some remedial work will be required in those areas. 3. Installation of new steel beam(s) to support existing structure and new HVAC. New steel beams to be supported by beam pockets cut into existing stone structure. 4. Demolition and relocation of public washrooms. 5. Council Chambers will require significant demolition and upgrading of interior finishes and lighting. 6. Offices on the first storey to be refurbished and new lighting provided. 7. Corridor millwork to remain in place and new millwork to match the historical millwork in the Corridor. 8. Existing stair(s) to second storey to have new carpet installed, woodwork of guard and rail cleaned and refinished. 9. New HVAC system for the first storey, some duct work will be reused in the office areas. 10. Provide and coordinate with the Town on new AV, power and lighting systems.
