City of Prince George (the City) is seeking a Supplier to provide and maintain new stand-alone transit bus shelters at designated transit locations within the City of Prince George. The requirements of this program are: 1. To Provide accessible, safe, and comfortable seating and refuge for passengers waiting for transit that fits into and enhances the existing streetscape. A. Accessible: Design should be considerate of the needs of seniors and people with mobility limitations and placement should provide clear passage for snow removal equipment so as not to inhibit snow removal; B. Safe: Shelters should be constructed out of durable materials that can withstand harsh weather conditions; and, C. Comfortable: A seating surface that does not allow water to pool when it rains or snows, preferably with armrests to assist people getting out of the seat.
