Saving Project...

Renovation of a mixed-use development in East Fayetteville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

36C24623B0061 Renovation of Welcome Center Amendment 0002 - Responses to Follow-Up Vendor Questions (NOTE: Question Numbering continued from Amendment 0001) Follow up on Response for Questions 6 and 7 from Amendment 0001: Question #7 response states that 2 full time Supervisors are not allowed to serve the roles of Superintendent, SSHO, and QCM which would imply the project requires (3) full time people on . If this is the intent, please make this clear so that all bidders include this cost as it is a significant amount to add a person to the staff full time for the of the project. Response: Superintendent can also be the Quality Control Manager, but the SSHO shall only have that one duty. If someone is a superintendent whose qualifications meet requirements to be a SSHO, this would be acceptable for the SSHO position. Follow up on the response to 16 from Amendment 0001: The full hazmat report lists 512 SF of transite cement behind 32 radiators, but the table in the specifications is listing 256 SF at 32 radiators. Please confirm the amount we should figure for pricing. Response: Use 512 square feet quantity. Also, the full hazmat report lists approximately 680 LF of pipe insulation at exterior walls. Has this material already been removed or are we figuring this as well Response: This has not been removed and is included in this project to be removed. Please confirm that the Flow Control Device shown on Detail 4 of P-002 is needed for the hot water recirculation line. Response: A flow control device should be anticipated for the hot water recirculation system. Also, for this project, assume one is currently installed balancing the system and an additional one is needed. Follow up on the response to 13 from Amendment 0001: Is it possible to get an approximate routing distance to the switchboard from the work area Response: The switchboard referenced in 13 is located in Building #44. Building #44 is shown on the Electrical Partial Plan (EP-1-B-02) where the approximate routing distance can be determined by bidders. Follow up on the response to 14 from Amendment 0001: Thank you for confirming all interior partitions are to be addressed as key note DE1 [unless noted otherwise]. Assuming key note DE28 is to be addressed as shown on the drawings at the exterior walls, please confirm that we should figure that none of these metal studs at the exterior wall are structurally significant to the brick. Response: Metal Studs at the exterior wall are not Structurally Significant to the exterior wall system. For the response to 14 from Amendment 0001, we are confused as to why Brick was mentioned in the response. We want to make sure the demo of the exterior Metal Stud wall and finishes is only referring to demo of the furred-out section of the exterior wall and not the actual Metal framing that is between the exterior windows that may have exterior sheathing and brick ties tied to it. The demo drawings appear to show a wall directly in front of the exterior wall which we assume to be metal stud furring. Response: Interior furring is to be removed in its entirety. See the response to 29 above. Existing wall construction is a multi the brick, or stone wall system. Approximately sixty percent of the walls to be demolished must be assumed to be constructed of masonry floor to deck with metal stud/gypsum firring. of Construction: Between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
