PROJECT DESCRIPTION PREDOMINANT CATERGORY CODE, CCN 610 10 ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE Per UFC 2-000-05N FACILITY PLANNING FOR NAVY AND MARINE CORPS SHORE INSTALLATIONS Series 600: Administrative Facilities CATERGORY CODE, CCN 441 10 GENERAL PURPOSE WAREHOUSE Per UFC 2-000-05N FACILITY PLANNING FOR NAVY AND MARINE CORPS SHORE INSTALLATIONS Series 400: Supply Facilities CATERGORY CODE, CCN 730 85 POSTAL SERVICE CENTER Per UFC 2-000-05N FACILITY PLANNING FOR NAVY AND MARINE CORPS SHORE INSTALLATIONS Series 700: Housing and Community Facilities NWSSB, Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, Building 239, was constructed in 1945, and renovated in 2020 as a general administrative building. The 14,350 SF existing facility functions to serve as a warehouse with administrative offices to support logistics for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), the Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), and the NWSSB mailroom. The facility requires removal and replacement of damaged and dilapidated fixtures and finishes, as well as renovation to improve upon facility deficiencies to the warehouse and administrative office spaces, and loading dock. The RFP for the Project will include design and construction for the renovation and repair of the facility warehouse, loading dock, and administrative spaces. The Project includes new construction at the building main entry, repair of the loading dock, renovation within the warehouse and administrative spaces, and site improvements for the building entry, loading dock, and exterior shared spaces. PROJECT OBJECTIVES Selective demolition, interior repairs and improvements, exterior loading dock repair and new construction is required and shall include exterior door and window improvements and conversion of the existing 130 SF covered entry alcove to an entry vestibule with a new entry canopy. New construction shall provide the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) tenants with functional administrative office and warehouse space; additionally, the facility shall be provided a 300 SF factory-fabricated gazebo shared space complete with electrical, water, and natural gas. NOTE: ALL PRE-PROPOSAL INQUIRIES (PPI) SHALL BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN AUGUST 2, 2023, AT 2:00 PM PACIFIC TIME (PT).
