Site work and paving for a civil project in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The City of Virginia Beach, Virginia will receive sealed bids for the furnishing of all equipment, labor and material, and the performing of all work for the above described project. The Bidder shall include in its bid or proposal its identification number issued by the Virginia State Corporation Commission or a statement describing why it is not required to be so authorized to transact business in the Commonwealth. This work includes the replacement of the City of Virginia Beach's wastewater Lakecrest (PS #532) Pump Station. The existing pump station will be replaced with a submersible pump station located at 3300 Lakecrest Road. A brick pump station building with generator is included. Portions of the existing 4-inch force main will be replaced with new ductile iron force main connecting to the existing main in Riverbend Road. The replacement force main will be installed on the pump station site and within the pavement section of Riverbend Road. A new 8-inch gravity main will connect to a new manhole and the existing gravity main in Riverbend Road. The project also includes the removal and replacement of the existing pump station including a portion of the existing 1COVB-24-101149 4-inch force main, valves, fittings, and appurtenances. Site pavement improvements for vehicle and pedestrian access are included along with applicable pavement markings. This solicitation is subject to the requirements of the Small Business Enhancement Program. As a matter of responsiveness, bidders that intend to subcontract work on the resulting project must commit at least 50% of the value of the subcontracted work to businesses certified as Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned businesses (SWaM) by the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity; if the bidder is unable to meet the 50% subcontracting requirement, then the bidder must provide documentation showing, with specificity, good faith efforts undertaken to meet the 50% SWaM-certified subcontractor participation requirement.
