Description

Site work, environmental remediation and new construction of a power facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a power facility.

BC Hydro plans to construct the East Vancouver Substation (EVR), a new 230/60/25/12 kV above-ground indoor substation with an ultimate capacity of 400 MVA and an initial installed capacity of 200 MVA. EVR will be electrically connected to Cathedral Square Substation and Horne Payne Substation via extensions of the existing 230 kV underground transmission circuits 2L34 and 2L33. TIMELINE: The purpose of this bulletin is to provide early notice to the market of an upcoming opportunity. This notice is not intended to be a call for tenders or proposals. Further update in fall 2026, upon award.
