As of January 17, 2024, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. ESTIMATED RANGE: .1 General - $200,000 - $300,000 LIQUIDATED DAMAGES = (.1) $130.00 per day. There is no Bid Guaranty required for this Project. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Demolition and removal of obsolete and underused buildings. Includes the removal of basement slabs, walls and foundations The Work of this Project consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following. Detailed requirements of the work are described in the pertinent specification sections and/or shown on the drawings. See Bid Description for specific items in buildings. NOTE: General Construction Contract (0.1) is the only contract for the project. B. General Construction (.1) Contract: 1. Demolish and remove: a. #19 (Dauphin House), #21 (Allegheny House), #23 (Armstrong House and detached garage), and #29 (Susquehanna House and detached garage); E. Frederick St., Millersville, PA. Includes floor slabs, foundation walls and footings. b. Mechanical systems, c. Electrical systems, d. Plumbing systems, e. Above ground items including but not limited to: sidewalks, paved parking, concrete stairs, and handrails. 2. Provide suitable soil, compacted, to backfill voids and depressions, then add topsoil up to final grade. 3. Grub and seed all affected areas per NPDES requirements whether permit required or not, 4. Remove HAZMAT's in accordance with Division 02 specifications and Division 31 Earthwork specification. 5. Coordinate termination of utilities and remove all pertinent equipment from site with campus facilities office. 6. Acquire all required permits and reviews. Design Professional will acquire UCC-4 Demolition Permit from PA Labor and Industry. 7. Mechanical and Plumbing Construction: a. Plumbing connections, terminations and pipe as required to support underground utilities and aboveground water connection to job trailers. b. Remove existing compressors/condensing units. Capture refrigerants. Dispose of refrigerant oils as required. c. Remove existing fuel oil storage tank, piping, fittings, accessories, etc. as required by PA DEP. Capture waste oil. d. Remove existing water heaters, boilers, pumps, accessories, expansion tanks, etc. e. Remove existing air handling unit. f. Disconnect existing water service. Remove existing meter. Remove piping. Cap at main in street according to the water authority requirements. Remove all piping back to manhole or curb stop. g. Remove existing sanitary laterals. Cap and plug at sewer main. Remove all piping back to manhole or curb stop. h. Coordinate removal of existing gas meters with local gas company. Remove accessory piping and cap at main. 8. Coordinate with PP&L for the termination and removal of existing meter sockets and overhead service lines from pole to building. 9. Coordinate with local CATV utility for the removal and termination of existing overhead CATV service to buildings. 10. Remove existing fiber optics service to buildings. Terminate at point of fiber connection. 11. Remove existing panels, conduits, conductors, etc. as indicated. 12. Repair damage to haul routes that may be caused during removal operations.
