Henderson County Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Proposals for Any Reason Project: Remove Existing Walls (Partitions), Bench (Judge, Witness, and Clerk s Areas), and Platforms (Jury, Judge, and Court Security Area) in the Courtroom and Reconstruct, Assemble and Install Walls, Bench, and Platforms for the Courtroom According to Plan Specifications. Bid purposes: Amanda Van Arsdale, County Clerk and Recorder, at 309-867-2911, Extension 7 unless otherwise designated by the County Board. Bidders may receive such addenda by providing their email to avanarsdale.coclerk@hendersoncountyil.gov. The Contractor shall: Ifthe County and the lowest responsible bidder cannot negotiate a successful contract the County may terminate such negotiations and begin negotiations with the qualified, responsible, and responsive bidder who submits the next lowest responsible bid. No bidder shall have any rights against the County arising from such negotiations. A. Tour/view the Second Floor Courtroom Project, Henderson County Courthouse, 307 Warren Street, Room 201, Oquawka, Illinois 61469 prior to submitting a bid. B. Remove existing walls (partitions), bench (judge, witness, and clerk's areas), and platforms (jury box and court security) in the courtroom. C. Reconstruct the walls, bench, and platforms for the courtroom according to the plan specifications attached as Exhibit "A". All reconstruction shall be completed offsite. D. Assemble and install walls, bench, platforms in the courtroom according to plan specifications attached as Exhibit "A". E. Provide the type ofwood and grain pattern along with the anticipated stain color as per plan specifications attached as Exhibit "A". F. Measure, order and install pre-finished panels and tops as per plan specifications attached as Exhibit "A". G. Build 6 !4 high platforms (judge and jury) as per plan specifications attached as Exhibit "A". H. Build 2x4 walls as per plan specifications attached as Exhibit "A". I. Fasten walls, bench, and platforms through floor as needed to fasten to joist for stability. J. Rough in any necessary writing and frame up any areas that require electrical or courtroom equipment. K. Provide an appropriate gate/divider as per plan specifications attached as Exhibit "A". L. Trim with matching base and millwork pieces as needed. M. Responsible forjobsite cleanup and removal of all debris created as a result ofthe project to an acceptable disposal site. N. All caulk and/or sealants must match the stain color for the panels and wood finishes. O. Building will be fully occupied and available during normal business hours only unless otherwise approved in writing. P. Must provide all labor, materials, and equipment to complete the entire project from project design through safe environment closeout. Must ensure that every worker is thoroughly familiar with the standard operating procedure ofthe implementation ofthe design work including all applicable laws designated from OSHA, Illinois EPA, IDPH, US EPA, and all local regulation and requirements. Q. Responsible for all damages to existing features and shall be repaired in-kind by the contractor at the contractor's cost. R. Complete the project by December 29, 2023.
